Viola B. Judson

Viola B. Judson, 99, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Mason, MI. She was born December 10, 1916 in Watertown Township to Fred and Lena (Schray) Lietzke, and spent much of her life in Mason. She married Edward Judson in 1938, and together they raised four children. Viola worked for the Ingham County Clerk’s office for many years before retirement in 1977. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward (1961); her son, Richard (1974); her great-grandson, Brad Harper (2013); and her sister, Mildred Jacobs (2005). She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ruth (Charles) Kennedy and Roberta (Russell) Briggs; her son, Ronald (Jackie) Judson; her five grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19 from 5pm to 7pm, and one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mason.
