Josephine and David,  Just found out about Tony's death.  My deepest sympathy for the loss of my fondest neighbor over the years.  A great person, athlete and family man.  Those years on Hillcreek were the best.

Dearest Josephine and family,
My memories of Tony go back to young new parents. When Josephine and Tootsie walked their precious first born in baby strollers down Notre Dame Ave.
We did not see much of Tony after we moved but being great friends with his sisters, we kept up on life events. 
Tony was an inspiration to all who knew him.
I pray that the good Lord sends His Comforter to be with you all, at this difficult part of your journey.

Dear David, Nancy, Suzanne and Josephine:  As we grow older, these things become inevitable, but that doesn't make it easier.  I think it rare that the attorney/client relationship can meld into true friendship as ours has..  I remember our time together in Florida when we met Cliff Robertson, and Vivian making off with Tony's shoes that were laying on the floor of the Columbia restaurant.  He had such vision to go from a couple of trucks with Bruce Reaves to today.  David, he was so proud of you, and for good reason.  Fortunately, I talked to him a few weeks ago, when he was in a great mood and talkative.  Susie and I extend our deepest sympathies.

I was fortunate to meet your Father and can say sitting and chatting with him instantly made me think, "What a great person."

My condolences to the Ferrante family. Tony always had a smile on his face and always made me feel like part of the company when I would see him at the Gary Christmas Party and the golf outings. The world lost a great man and he will sadly be missed.

I feel blessed for having known Tony and the Ferrante family. He always took good care of all of us that joined the "Ferrante  Family" and I feel honored to have been part of that family for all these years.
I will always cherish all the good times that I had shared with Tony over the years.

Tony was a wonderful, honorable and respectful person and employer. I was one of the few to have known Tony from day one, after he purchased Kaplan and started Horizon. I enjoyed working for Tony over the years. He always treated you fairly. He will be sorely missed.

Patricia and I will forever be honored and bless to have known Tony. He is a Gentleman in the truest sense, we will miss his presence.

My husband and I  made a trip to Ohio, some years ago now, to meet the folks in home office and discuss some particulars about our operation here.  "Gracious" would be the summary word for the experience overall, including Mr. Ferrante's questions during our meeting regarding our problem customer. He  took us, along with other Horizon personnel involved in the meeting, to dinner that night, in a restaurant that is on Lake Erie. During the dinner conversation I mentioned that I had never seen Lake Erie, at which point he decided to fix that, and took me to the large windows overlooking the lake, on the other side of the restaurant, Most of all though, I remember when he was taking my husband and me to our hotel, and we asked about one of his former employees. In a space where it is common to speak ill of another, Mr. Ferrante was uncommon. His words were gracious, and I've just never really forgotten that. 

We are sad with you, and hope you know that we will always remember him just as we do now, as an example and a friend.

My sincere condolences go out to the Ferrante family. It was an honor to be part of his life.
