Bobby Lee Summers

Bobby Lee Summers, a 62-year resident of Mayfield Village, Ohio, passed away on March 4, 2019, at the age of 87. He was President of the Mayfield High School class of 1948 and was very active in athletics including football (co-captain), basketball (co-captain) and track (co-captain and state champion). He also had the honor of being inducted into the Mayfield High School Track Hall of Fame. Mr. Summers went on to serve as the President of the Mayfield High School Booster Club where he was instrumental in the initial construction of the current football stadium.

Mr. Summers was a journeyman plumber with UA Local 55 for 25 years. In 1972, along with his wife Carolyn, he went on to start American Mechanical Contractors where he served as President for 38 years.

Some of Mr. Summers’ happiest years were spent managing the Hillcrest Little League and playing semi-pro fast pitch softball.

He was preceded in death by his parents Holley and Macel. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Carolyn (nee Eville), daughter Sharon Johnson, son Bob Jr. (Kathe), 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The viewing for Mr. Summers will be held on March 11, 2019 from 3-7pm at DiCicco’s and Sons Funeral Home.”
