Caroline “Carol” Julia Karger (nee Papes), age 85, a devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother passed away on November 26, 2025. Born on March 5, 1940 in Cleveland Ohio to Louis and Caroline (nee Jernejcic) Papes. Beloved wife of Robert for 66 years. Loving mother of Laura Leuty (James), devoted sister of Dorothy Papes, and cherished grandmother of Andrew Leuty and Amanda (Zach) Newton. Carol cherished the holiday season, often surrounded by family, friends and laughter. An avid reader and passionate traveler, she embraced life’s adventures with a joyful spirit. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and her loyal Labradoodle, Trouble. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Cleveland APL
