Charles I. Emerson

CHARLES I. EMERSON, age 88, of Delavan passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at home in Delavan. He was born in New York on December 26, 1932 to Roland and Viola (Colvell) Emerson. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was united in marriage to Barbara Choma on May 4, 1963 in Cleveland. Barbara passed away in 2016. Charles worked for many years as an over the road truck driver until his retirement in the early 1990’s. Charles is survived by his six daughters, Sheryl Emerson, of Canada, Sue (Mike) Phelps, of Delavan, Charlene Emerson, of OH, Carol (Santos) Ramirez, of TX, Ann Marie (Mike) Matousek, of AZ, and Debbie (Ron) Ely, of OH; 24 grandchildren, Christa, Ashley, Charles, Suzanne, Brian, Paul, Matthew, Michelle, Kevin, Eddie, Maggie, Christina, Elizabeth, Emily, Michelle, Roxanne, Elizabeth, Barbara, Cassie, Mia, Michael, Alex, Trevor, and Brittany; many great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents; a sister; and two brothers.
