HASHEM ATTARAN, MD, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 12, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Pari Attaran and the loving father of Marjan (Michael) of Pepper Pike and Lily (Stanley) of Charleston, SC. He cherished his grandchildren Luke, Julia and Alex.
Dr. Attaran touched the lives of thousands of people during his 55-year career as a physician. Whether in private practice or as a house officer at Hillcrest Hospital, he brought compassion, knowledge, and steadfast support to his patients and colleagues.
A true Renaissance man, Dr. Attaran found joy in art, music, science, and his garden. He shared that joy generously with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
