Hylda Felicia Donahue

HYLDA FELICIA DONAHUE (nee Vara) age 104, passed away September 30, 2023. Beloved wife of the late William; loving mother of Guy, Dennis (deceased), William (Anki) and Patrick; devoted grandmother of Mark, Michelle, Dina, Kevin, Julie, Ryan and Michael; great grandmother of Isabelle, Julia Rose, Ella and Ava; great great grandmother of Josh, Leah and Jacob; dear sister of Mary and Mike.

Hylda’s love was as unconditional as her indominable spirit. She had the wonderful gift of conversation with anyone or in any situation. Throughout her life, Hylda exhibited a shrewd sense of judgment - though never judgmental - and a clever sharpness of mind. At the young age of 103 she was still playing bridge once a week with her close knit card club. Her beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor and simple elegance along with her calm and pleasant demeanor would light up any room. Always generous and with a gracious heart extended to all of her loved ones. Her family and friends loved, adored and cherished her.

Gates Mills, OH. 44040 (Please Meet at Church). Following the Mass a Private Entombment will take place at Knollwood Cemetery.
