A highlight of every Christmas season was sleeping over at Hoonie's house and making cookies!
We made chocolate chip, peanut butter, and kolachy cookies every year :)
I remember one year we added in the flour while stirring, and we had a big cloud blow up all around us

I always enjoyed when Hoonie would come to the Geauga County Fair with us. I really enjoyed how happy she would get when she saw the animals, especially the fuzzy ones like rabbits/alpacas.

I am very thankful for the time we’ve spent together. Going to your house was a guaranteed good day, a piece of heaven on earth. I enjoyed coming to visit you, to tell you about the good and the bad in my life; you’re the best listener and a very good host. I love you very much.

When William is running wild only Grandma could calm him down. 

One of our sleepovers with grandma. Every sleepover we had it was our tradition to watch Kangaroo Jack together. We all seen it so many times but it always made grandma laugh. Grandma always ordered us a pizza and we would get ice cream too and all have it together. And we would help grandma make her famous chocolate milkshake in the little red cups. I liked to stay up late with grandma because that’s when we would chat the most because we were both night owls. Every sleepover though always similar was always memorable to me.

I will never forget one of the first memories I have of Hoonie was when Jake and I first started dating, on Friday nights he could never hangout because he was always “busy”. 
One day he finally told me what he was doing on Fridays. Bowling with Hoonie and her friends. He always reserved that night to spend with her and I knew then just how special of a person she was.  
I am so grateful I got to come along to some of those nights and have those memories to cherish, along with many other memories made over the years. 
You mean the world to us and the ones around you and that goes without saying. 
Hoonie always knew how to make us laugh so genuinely and had such a fiery spirit. I loved that about her. I look forward to telling our kids about her one day and reminiscing the times spent with her. 
 You will forever be missed and always remembered. 
Truly 1 in a million, We love you Hoonie! 

I am Mary Ann's sister-in-law. I was about ten years old when she married my brother Jack. She was very kind to me in those few years I knew her. My deepest condolences to all of her children, grandchildren and great-grand children.  Mary Bratten


Rest In Peace to my grandma, who was a very kindhearted person who cared for everyone. Always being positive and able to put a smile on anyone’s face no matter their mood. She always made me happy and made others around her laugh with her charming personality. I will miss her very much and I will always cherish the memories we had together. Making cookies and having sleepovers throughout the summer, staying up late together talking are the things I’ll miss doing the most with her. We had great laughs and had so much fun together playing cards, painting rocks, crocheting, telling stories, looking at old pictures, watching old movies together, snuggling on the couch. If you can see this I love you grandma and I will miss you so much. love, autumn
