Tommy was born December 1, 1943 in Cleveland Ohio, son of John Novak and Anne Huml. Family and faith were the two guiding principles in his life, and where he used his God-given gifts. Tommy was a loyal and beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He liked nothing better than spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren. Whether it was over a Sunday dinner, or a vacation in Hilton Head, this family time gave him so much happiness in his life. Spiritually, he was God’s servant, and lived each and every day in work and prayer to fulfill his commitment. He served mass every weekday at St. Clare Church, as well as working at the school. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked and volunteered at Julie Billiart School. In addition, Tommy had a passion for gardening, and over the years was well known and admired for his tomatoes and basil.
Tommy is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Kathleen J. Novak; daughter Kim Novak Proctor (Les) of Cleveland Heights, OH; and son Michael T. Novak (Courtney) of Cleveland Heights, OH; five grandchildren, Charlie, Mary and Lucy Proctor and Drew and Jack Novak; loving brother of John and William (deceased).
