Burt has been writing our bonds since 1973.  I always enjoyed stopping by his office to hear his jokes or recieving helpful advice. I was always amazed how he knew where everything in his office was and his Mickey Mouse collectibles.  He was a positive influence on my personal development as a business man.  I’m  thankful for his friendship & trust. 



Christian, my son and partner will always be grateful for Burt’s participation in making SFM Services an established local,  South Florida company.  Every time I visited his office he would show me our first advertisement that he kept as a memento with a picture of the Orange Bowl stadium.  An honest and warm human being. We will always remember Burt and Chris.  

I will always have fond memories of Burt. His company supplied most of the bonds needed by contractors for the county department I worked for. Burt was not just a source of information and was always available to answer my questions but he was a caring person. I remember him telling me stories of his weekend drives to the west coast of Florida to wind down from the work week. He was so compassionate about his family, his Santa duties and his work—he was an inspiration. My deepest sympathies to his family. 

Burt & Chris were my first bosses ever.  I worked part-time at Security Bonds during my high school work experience program in 2004.  They were the first to give me real work advice, expectations and work-ethic foundation.  Before prom, I passed by their office for pictures.  My parents live very close to the office, I’ve driven past many times and I always look to see if they are still there and to recognize the cars parked outside.  When I was there Burt had the red Ford Explorer.  I believe he stuck with that model for many years because I noticed newer versions in the parking lot when I drove past.  It always made me smile to know they were still there and doing well.  I look up to them as parent figures.  I have the fondest memories of working with them; walking into Burt’s office filled with stacks of paper up to the roof, but he knew where everything was.  I was there during his Santa Clause days.  Always admired his drive to push through those long days just to see the smile on children’s faces.  As a matter of fact, my mom has a picture of my sister, brother, I and Santa Burt on her office wall.  Those were wonderful times and I can’t thank Burt, Chris and the team at Security Bonds for it all.  You were an incredible person Burt, thank you for shining your light, spirit and soul to as many people as you could.  Thank you for being a part of my foundation, I’ll never forget it.  

Burt was just a giant of a man! He was loved by everyone. His very special gift of being able to, almost  instantaneously, form  sincere relationships with total strangers, was amazing! 

He loved people and never hesitated to help anyone who deserved it! I think one of his proudest & most thoughtful moments were his many years being Santa in the local mall. He shared some very funny experiences but also a few, heart wrenching tearful, moments from stories the kid's told him. He probably offered these little ones, much needed, encouragement.
 
When I first meet Burt & Chris at their condo, he wouldn't let me leave without  writing something on their bathroom wall. It appeared that every previous visitor had been given the same task, As written then, after knowing him only a few days, it went something like "there's not enough room on these walls to offer a full submission of my thoughts & feelings for you two". 
("a full submission" is what Burt required on all of his bond accounts).

That statement is even more applicable now after knowing them for 40 + years. There's not enough room here to share all the very fond memories!
