Aunt Carole has always been a huge part of my life, and I will miss her dearly! As a child, I looked forward to our Orlando trips and as an adult, I looked forward to her DC visits and going with her to several Dolphins games. She was one of my biggest cheerleaders and even when I moved 16 hours way, I could always count on a call or text when bad weather was forecasted for my area on the national news. She also gave me professional advice, and I will forever be grateful for the time her and dad helped me set up my new classroom after the remodeling of my school. Additionally, she made sure I never went hungry and I could always count on good food whenever we were together. Throughout my major life cycle events, including my Bat Mitzvah, going to college, moving into my own place, getting hired by a major school district, etc, Aunt Carole was involved and made sure that she supported me in her own special way. No matter what, she was my advocate and along with my parents, one of my life's most prominent teachers. She instilled many life lessons into me and I could always count on her to stick up for me. As a child, Dad and I and I often bumped heads, which I know now was the result of us being so similar, and it was Aunt Carole who often smoothed over the arguments, told Dad to go easy on me, and validated my feelings.

 

This week I lost one of my biggest champions, but I know she is forever watching me and my family and making sure we know how much she loved us. Her big bear hugs and her advice (sometimes unsolicited and always outright hilarious) live on in my heart.

“Grandma” Carole was a part of our family for decades. She was a mother to me and my sisters, a grandmother to my kids, and a partner for my Dad. She was always there with a huge hug, always ready to talk about how bad the Dolphins were the previous Sunday, and always spoke her mind. She loved ferociously, and if she loved you, you could not escape it. I will miss staying overnight in her condo, when I had gigs in South Florida, and going w her and her entourage (Dad, Mitchell, various others) to the Bagel Cove. 
She was always concerned with my well being, and always wanted the best for me. Her “advice” always came from a place of pure unconditional love. Her laugh was beautiful and so was her smile. I will miss her hugs and her nagging (which was always done with love) Not everyone gets to have someone like Carole in their life, and my family was blessed to have had her as such a major part of ours. We will all miss her, and we will all love her forever

aunt carole has been in me and my sister’s  lives since we were babies. her love and unwavering support for our family-  especially us girls, was strong. she never failed to tell me how proud she was of me, welcoming me with a warm hug and even some tough love when needed. we spent countless hours together, from disney, to breakfast at the cove, sleepovers and math tutoring when i was younger…
if ever we needed her, she was there for us. we were her chosen family (just as she was ours) and she always made sure we knew it. thank you aunt carole for contributing to so many of my happy memories. i will miss you and hope you knew just how much you meant to me. i love you.

Carol was my best friend 🧡  she was my teacher for 3 years in middle school.  The BEST teacher I ever had!!!!  She was a second mother to me and the BEST GRANDMOTHER to my son!  I cannot imagine my life without her!  She was everything to me and my son!!!  Ron took the BEST care of her and loved her with all his heart!  Carol will be missed every single day of my life!!  She was truly an angle and a magnificent person!!   I love you Carol ❤️
