Eddie encouraged me to expand my science interests into a future career path.  He was a great mentor.

I just returned to Dallas, TX after being away 11 yrs.  I was looking up Dr. Sollie as he was the best and funniest doctor I had ever had, & had a sense of humor when I bought him a pair of socks to match his shoes.  I will miss your humor and wisdom Eddie.  The Lord had other work for one of his brightest angels.

I am heartbroken to hear this news. I have not heard from Eddie in such a long time and was wondering where he was and how he was doing. I tried to contact him many times in the last year. To find that Eddie passed away is devastating. The loss is great knowing him and his humor and a great family man he was.  I worked side by side with Eddie at Jackson Memorial and got to know what a caring person he was. His focus was always on the patient and community he served, I will miss him very much...
