Murray, Florence, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on February 24 at the side of her loving daughter, Debbie Glickstein. Born in Rumania, Florence grew up in New York before settling in Wyckoff, NJ, where she started her family before moving to Miami Beach. Loving wife of predeceased husband, A. Harold Murray, a beautiful man who always reminded his beloved Florence, “who loves ya baby”, Florence is survived by her children, Dr. Alan Horowitz, daughter-in-law Linda Hubay, Susan Murray, Debbie Glickstein and son-in-law, Cary Glickstein, and her beautiful grandchildren Madison Rothman, Lily Glickstein and Jack Glickstein, who will all carry on her legacy of appreciation for the beauty in life. Florence was a uniquely talented artist, with a special flair for bringing beautiful colors to every canvass she touched. She was an art teacher and devoted much of her spare time to providing art therapy to handicapped children. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Her first, Madison, now a beautiful, young woman in college, got to hear her grandmother’s many “Lucy” stories about a young girl and life’s lessons, usually with a flashlight under the covers and way past her bedtime. Her Lily (lily flower) matched wits and wisdom that kept grandma on her toes, a smile on her face and laughter in her home. The apple of her eye, Jack, was blessed with his grandmother’s passion for art and zest for life. Florence, you fought the good fight, you were loved by all those you touched, and will remain in our hearts forever and ever. We will honor Florence at a memorial service on Friday, February 25 at 11:00 a.m., at Riverside-Gordon Memorial, 7205 W. Atlantic Blvd, Delray Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Florence Murray’s name to Hospice of Palm Beach. Arrangements under the direction of Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), Miami, FL.
