On December 8 2021, the world lost a true Legend. Glen Anthony Schnarr of Mississauga, Ontario Canada passed away at the age of 70 in Miami, with family by his side, after suffering a heart attack while fishing south of the Florida Keys.
Glen is survived by his two sons, Matt and Ted and his four Grandchildren (Sadie, Alexandra, Theodore and Lucy) whom he adored so much. Glen grew up with his five brothers and two sisters in Waterloo, Ontario who were raised by their loving parents Cyril Schnarr and Rita (Huber) Schnarr. Family meant everything to Glen.
Glen leaves many other legacies behind, including the Urban Planning and Design firm Glen Schnarr & Associates, Inc (GSAI) that he started in 1986 that has left its mark on so many communities and commercial/recreational land development projects – and continues to push sustainable land development forward in Southern Ontario.
Glen lived every day to the fullest. One of his most amazing achievements outside of his professional career was shooting his age on the golf course last year at the age of 69. He loved life, he loved his friends and he would do anything for the people he cared about.
The world will never be the same without him and he will be deeply missed.
