Jared Aaron Funt

Jared Aaron Funt, lovingly remembered as a devoted brother, son, husband, and friend, passed away on May 28, 2025, in Broward County, Florida—the same community he called home throughout his life.

Born on January 7, 1987, Jared found a passion for martial arts early on and later threw himself into music as a teen—starting with formal lessons and quickly making it his own, blending raw emotion with skill.

He went on to become a skilled machinist by trade and was known for his love of the outdoors, deep compassion for animals, and unwavering commitment to justice and equality.

Jared was actively involved in causes to make the world a better place. Throughout the years he developed close friendships and found chosen family while standing against hate and building community.

His life was rich with music, fishing trips, long talks, meaningful work, and quiet moments in nature. Jared walked his own path with courage and curiosity. He spoke with conviction, loved with intensity, and always brought honesty, humor, and his whole heart to every moment.

He is survived by his mother, siblings, beloved spouse, and the many friends and chosen brothers who stood by his side throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Funt.

A memorial service will be held on June 8th at Lakeside Memorial Park to honor Jared’s life and legacy.

He will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
