Jeffrey A. Kramer, 62, of Miami Beach and New York City, died of cancer on May 27, 2012 at his Miami Beach home. Born in Pittsburgh, Jeff came to Miami in 1968, and founded his first business when he was only 19 years old. With his keen business acumen and equally fine senses of fairness and humor he founded and ran several successful businesses. Chief among them was Bullet Line, Inc. , which became one of the country’s largest and most successful promotional products companies with more than 450 employees. His was among the first American businesses to manufacture goods in Mainland China. Over the years he himself developed and patented some of the products sold by Bullet Line. He revolutionized the industry by introducing three day service. Bullet Line was acquired in 2006 by the largest specialty products supplier in the world.
Owner of thoroughbred racehorses for many years, Jeff also loved traveling to far off places besides Asia. He was a generous long time supporter of numerous local charities and institutions, including serving on the Board of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, and the Boards of Jewish Family Services and Miami Country Day School. He was also a Society Member of Mount Sinai Hospital. Jeff and his wife Kandy have also been supporters of the American Lung Association, Jewish Guild for the Blind, JAFCO, the New Israel Fund and are Grand Founders at the University of Miami. He always lent a helping hand to every friend and employee who needed him.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife of thirty years, Kandy and son,
Spencer, his mother Jean Kramer, and his sister Donna Gross.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Barth Green, Dr. Joseph Pizzolato,
Dr. David Levi, Dr. Brian Lally, Dr. Matthew Abramowitz, Willie Townsend, and Alex Solono, RN for their compassionate care over the last two years.
Services will be held at noon Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Riverside Gordon Chapel 20955 Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33172.
The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, the organization to which Jeff was most passionately devoted.
