
GALE - Robert Joseph, died on December 17, 2013 at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Born July 23, 1926 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Hyman and Daisy Gale, he never stopped moving, living in more than 50 places thoughout his live, alwasy seeking new experiences or greener pastures.He pursued his love of music throught his live, beginning with a degree from Northwester University and playing in the US Army Band in WWII.
Starting his careeer in NYC during the early days of TV as a producer on shows like "Stop the Music", he eventually moved to Miami to start his own rea lestate company, Gale Builders, with his broghter Steve, becoming early developers of communities such as Kendall. As President of ITT-LEvitt Multihousing, he was one of the first builders of planned communities: throughout the US. Other career achievements in real estate included President of the Gale Organization, a venture with Allstate, and Founder of Gale Housing, creating acclaimed communities throughout the country.
Preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Patricia, the "love of his life," and survived by their four beloved children, Susan Gale, David Gale, Lauren Napach and Robin Lorber, five grandchildren, Amanda, Jake, Lily, Ian and Ava, and his brother Steve Gale.
