

ROBBINS, SIDNEY, 87, of Pinecrest, FL, passed away on April 4, 2011. Sidney grew up in Detroit, MI and Miami Beach. After graduating Riverside Military Academy, Hollywood, FL, Gainesville, GA, he joined the army as one of the youngest officers during WWII. Attended the University of Miami Law School, was a member of the Bar for 50 years. Sidney worked for Lums, Scotts and Burger King for many years. After retirement, Sid enjoyed life and his family. Always a gentleman, graciously giving to an enormous amount of causes, environmental, medical, and political. Loved the cultural life, gave donations, attended plays, ballets, lectures and symphonies. The true essence of this man was his graciousness, always giving assistance in a generous and respectful manner. He had a wonderful zest for life, enjoying travel. playing tennis, bridge and visiting with his friends and family. He was a loving caregiver to his surviving wife of 64 years, Beverly Ruth née Cohen, children Lynn Robbins ( Robert Granger) and son Chuck Robbins, cherished grandson Seth, wonderful caregiver Eri Rodriguez and many friends and family. Sidney was a very special guy and loved by all who knew him. Services were held on Weds., April 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM, Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel Kendall, 5900 SW 77 Ave., Miami, FL 305-274-0641. Interment followed at Mt. Nebo in Miami. In lieu of flowers, donations to any environmental group would be appreciated.
