

Sol David Sochet beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend quietly passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Miami, Florida surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born and raised in Miami, David enjoyed sharing his keen knowledge and passion of all things cultural, social and political locally and abroad. He had a voracious appetite for knowledge able to speak to any topic from local happenings about town to the complex social and political affairs affecting the US and the world. David lived life to the fullest enjoying traveling with his friends and family all over the world. He had the incredible ability to navigate any part of the world as if he lived there knowing the best places to eat, enjoying the local treasures and discovering all the beauty these places offered. Most of all David was a friend and comfort to everyone. You could always count on him to lend a helping hand, offer comfort in times of sickness or be your champion at a moment’s notice. He was everyone’s big brother and source of guidance. He is survived by his parents Jean and Ira, siblings Adam, Lisa and Laura (John), nieces Haley, Samantha, Allison, companion John, furry children Dingo and Azabache, cousins Stacey, Suzanne, Richy, Emily and Nicole and Uncle Harold and Aunt Ingrid.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Kendall. Donations can be made to Every Child Counts Abaco at Every Child Counts, P.O. Box AB 20085, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas.
