Stuart Lee Koenigsberg

Stuart earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from the University of Miami. He went on to establish and lead his own law firm for 35 years, specializing in civil litigation and appellate law.

In 1990, Stuart married Deborah Gerrand, and together they raised two daughters, Adrian and Ericka.

A passionate runner, Stuart completed more than ten marathons around the world as well as multiple Half Ironman competitions. He was also a devoted Miami sports fan and a classic car enthusiast. Deeply committed to his faith and community, Stuart was an active member of Bet Shira Congregation, where he served as President from 2022 to 2024. He dedicated himself to positively serving the greater Jewish community of Miami.

Stuart is survived by his wife, Deborah; daughters, Adrian and Ericka; mother, Thelma Koenigsberg; sisters, Carol Koenigsberg and Diane Edwards (Charles Edwards); and his nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Bet Shira Congregation. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Kendall. Immediately following the burial, a meal of comfort will take place at Bet Shira Congregation. Shiva will be observed on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 8:00 p.m. Please contact the temple for details.
