Anne R Monti

Anne R Monti, 91, passed away on April 7, 2026. She was born in New York, New York on May 22, 1934, to the late Alice Elizabeth (Bergermine) and Oel Poteete, and was a late life resident of Middleburg, Florida. Beloved, faithful, kind-hearted, and inspirational, Anne dedicated her life to caring for others in both quiet and enduring ways. She proudly served her New York community as a switchboard operator for a hospital for many years. Anne lovingly taught her children the love of God and the importance of family. Later in life she attended St Luke Catholic Church of Middleburg with her family, living her faith with steadiness and devotion. Anne enjoyed karate, puzzles, and time spent with family. She was an inspiration to many people with the dedication and hard work she put into karate. She loved to sing and dance, and she found special joy in sharing Harry Potter with her family—moments that brought laughter, closeness, and lasting memories. Anne was also preceded by a reputation that made her smile and those around her feel safe: she was lovingly earned the nickname of the “Neighborhood Watch.” Anne was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Poteete and her sister Evelyn Phipps. She is survived by her loving brother Robert Poteete; devoted daughters, Lisa Vecchio (Frank) and Karen Monti-Mather (Mark); her son, Robert Monti (Molly); her grandchildren, Zachary Prieto (Ally Browning) and Alicia Terrana (Brandon); her granddaughters, Eliza Monti and Gabrielle Monti.

Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068, US, on April 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will take place at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068, US, on April 17, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068, US, on April 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
