Betty Jo Shaffer, 76, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2015 with her daughters holding her hands. She was born October 13, 1939 in Hendricks, West Virginia, lived in Baltimore, MD where she met and married, Galen Shaffer. They moved to Arlington, TX in 1977 then she moved to Elizabeth City, NC to be with her daughter, Carol. She moved to Middleburg, Florida to live with her sister, Hermella Lane in October of 2015 to be near her extended family of sisters and brothers. Betty was an avid seamstress and quilter. Mrs. Shaffer is survived by her daughters; Carol Lovell and Jodi Ward, her grandchildren, William Lovell, II, Tyler Lovell, and Lillie Pichette.
