

Bobby Mayo Grimsley, age 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Bobby was born in Fitzgerald GA and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan (GO DAWGS!). Bobby began his career of nearly 50 years in management within the convenience store industry while in Fitzgerald and eventually settled in Middleburg FL. He met his wife of 48 years, Betty Carol, while in high school. He was a very loving husband and father. Everyone who knew Bobby knew a friend who had a quick wit and whose eyes twinkled with mischief, but whose heart was generous and kind.
He leaves behind his wife, Betty Carol Grimsley, sons Alan (Melissa) and Robert (Diane). Also missing him is his father Albert Mayo Grimsley; his brother Alan (Linda); his sisters, Marie Bridwell (Bob) and Sharon Pettis (Vernon); his grandchildren, Shane Hamel (Karen), Clint and Lauren Grimsley; two great grand children and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 11th from 6-8 pm at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park FL 32073. Services will be 11:00 am Saturday February 12th at the chapel with Pastor Michael Dale officiating. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Middleburg FL. A reception will be held immediately following interment at the home of Alan and Melissa Grimsley, 187 Sorrel St, Middleburg FL 32068.
