Charles Harvey Moatz

Charles Harvey Moatz, 81, of Middleburg, FL passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was born on July 26, 1940 to Harvey Charles & Margaret Moatz in Easton, PA. He was a true God-fearing patriot and retired serving our country in the United States Navy (Semper Fortis). He was a much-loved, long serving member of Clay Hill Baptist Church. He spent many hours roaming his property taking in the wonder of nature, frequently caring for and admiring the wildlife. His family and anyone who knew him respected his wit, intelligence, kindness, loyalty, his laughter and above all else, his devotion to God, Family, Country.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Justin C. Moatz.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ruth Moatz; his son, Stephen C. Moatz of Ponte Vedra, FL; his daughter, Jessica Strange (Doug) of Jacksonville, FL; and his grandchildren, Erica Bethea, Tyler Carroll (Aubrie), Hunter Carroll, Lauren Moatz, Nathan Moatz, Shelby Carroll, Sarah Strange, and Elizabeth Strange; and his great-grandchildren, Landon Bethea, Rylie Carroll, Logan Bethea, Natalie Carroll, and Everleigh Carroll.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10am at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home. A private committal will take place at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
