Charlotte was born October 14, 1934 in Blackshear, GA to the late Earnest Paul Morgan and Addie Mae Williamson Morgan.
In the 6th grade was when she first laid eyes on a Clyde Batten playing baseball, who would later become her husband. They grew their family in the humble city of Waycross, Georgia before planting their roots in Jacksonville, Florida where they would live for over 60 years. Charlotte was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked hard to take care of her family and established a successful career as a floral designer.
Charlotte was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother, an adoring Granny to her five grandchildren, and Gan-Gan to her three great grandchildren. Charlotte made many lasting friendships over her lifetime. She loved to cook, entertain and fellowship amongst her family, friends and neighbors. Above all, the greatest joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her four children, Mitzi, Mickey, Cindy and Rindy; her five grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Lindsay, Kady and Jordan and her three great grandchildren; Rowen, Hollan and Olive.
