David B. Lane

David Benjamin Lane, age 79, of Orange Park, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late, Howard and Catherine Lane. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary Parker Lane.

He was very proud of his military career, retiring from the US Navy after 20 years of dedicated service. He entered into service in 1962 in Scranton, PA and separated from service in 1982 in Jacksonville, FL. David served in the Cuban Blockade (1962-1963) and Vietnam (1970). Earned the following accommodations: Good Conduct (4), National Defense, Navy Unite Citation and Vietnam Comparison US Gov (4).

David was a man that loved his family and adored his wife of 58 years, Patricia A. Lane; his children: Mark Lane, Christine Lim and Tara Warner; 2 siblings: Steve Lane and Linda Leisey; grandchildren: Griffith Lane, Keegan Lim, Tanner Warner, Reese Lane, Kai Lim, Avianna Lim and Emma Warner; great-grandson, Julian Lane; and a host of extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Friday July 19, 2024 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL.
