

Kathleen Patricia Lancaster (Komyanik), age 78, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2020 while she was lovingly surrounded by her daughters. Kathleen was born August 28,1942 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Michael Anthony Komyanik (Genevieve) and Loretta K (Callahan) Osten (Orie).
Being from a military family, Kathleen spent most of her childhood moving to different states. She was a licensed cosmetologist for over 40 years and graduated from St. John’s River Community College with her associate’s degree in Social Work.
She was a resident of Clay County, Florida for the past 41 years and was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and animal lover. She dedicated her life to saving and caring for others. Her family and animals meant everything to her. Kathleen volunteered for many years and was dedicated to feeding and rescuing homeless animals.
She was a devoted wife and is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E. Lancaster of 45 years. Also, she was a beloved mother to Elizabeth Griffin (Tony), and Nikki Alphonse, Deborah Lancaster (deceased), Kimberly Parker (deceased), and Michelle Turner; much loved Grandmother to Dena Roberson, Emma Alphonse, Sara Alphonse , Edward (Buddy) Alphonse, Daniella Smith, Christopher Chase, Amy Turner, Matthew Turner; also 4 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and many very loved nieces & nephews. Surviving siblings are Don Newton, Kim Newton, Deborah Mossburg, Tony Ryan, Joyce Myers, Linda Komyanik, Eileen Komyanik and foster-sister Liz Mowry. Preceded by siblings Lorraine Brown, Greg Newton, Barbara Stasik, James Mossburg, Janet Mossburg,, Terry Komyanik.
She is forever in our hearts. God has taken her home to suffer no more.
Mrs. Kathleen Lancaster will be farewelled on Friday, December 11, 2020 with a visitation from 1-3pm followed by 3pm cryptside service at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, Florida 32068.
