

Kelvyn Austin Walter, son of the late Norris and Perpetua, 80, passed away January 28, 2018. He was born August 13, 1937 in St. Johns, Antigua and has resided in Orange Park, Florida, for the last 12 years. Kelvyn is survived by his loving wife of 40 years; Grace, sons, John and Leslie, daughters-in-law Kaitlin and Ellen, grandchildren Emilia, John, Elijah and Blaire, an aunt, numerous brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Kelvyn received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting, with a concentration in Auditing, in London, England. He continued his education in the United States were he earned an additional Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. He worked in the financial and educational fields for the majority of his professional career. He was a dedicated member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Montclair, New Jersey were he served on the Vestry, Finance and numerous search committees. He also served as the Director of Acolytes for over 20 years.
It was common to see him on the floor playing with his grandchildren. He was an avid reader, a great historian, and a lover of cricket who enjoyed traveling and watching his programs.
His unexpected passing surprised us all and he will be deeply missed.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 15th, from 6-8pm, at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Road Middleburg, Florida 32068. The funeral service will be Friday, February 16th, at 11am, at Grace Episcopal Church, 245 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073. Burial will be on Tuesday, February 20th, at Rosedale Cemetery in Montclair, New Jersey. Please leave words of comfort at www.hollyhillfunerals.com.
