This is my daddy Herbert lee Newton  US NAVY. 

My condolences goes out to your family.  My parents were great friends with this man when they met Argentia Newfoundland.  My mom ,myself and my first husband came to see him around 1984-85 and stayed the night with him and told us alot of stories about our dad that we lost in 1981. Im sorry it has taken so long but I never dreamed this happened.  My last Christmas card was the Dec before he passed. One great man with another up in Heaven together again. 

When he would come home to visit in his little white car he was listening to tom t hall....sneaky snake was the song playing

Lavoun used to work with my Uncle Phil and father, Ron Mathis, 30 years ago.  Was always so nice.  Years later he married my mother-in-law.  Such a small world we live in.  I am truly sorry for this loss.  He was a good man.

I remember when Bobbete and Doyal first came to Cinnamon St. Baptist Church! We sat together and became very good, no special friends! Doyal and I went fishing together, well not just that! We went to the Base, music events, Menny, menny Doctor visits! We were as close as anyone could possibly get! Im going to miss him, the phone calls we had together each day, the jokes we would pull on each other! How im hurting my  friend,my buddy, I love you so much! Smooth sailing,see you soon 🥰

I am Claudia Kemp Pittman Coursey’s daughter....cousin to Doyle.
Doyle’s mother  was my mother’s sister.
We were able to see Doyle a few years back for a class reunion. I will try to attach the picture  taken then.   We are very thankful he
had trusted the Lord as his personal savior. We will see him again one day....“absent from the body, present with the Lord.” Praying for Judy and family and all his many friends there at the church.  John 14;  1 Corinthians 15.  May The Lord Jesus comfort you all during this most difficult time...and Judy take care of yourself.❤️🙏

I met Pops at church in Bay St Louis ms. He sounded just like Robert Duvall, so that’s what I called him. He was such a kind man. He will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Annie (Kemp) Joyner, 3 brothers, 7 sisters, and his late wife, Bobbette (Carbonette) Joyner,
and is survived by his loving wife, Judy, 2 step-sons: Rudy (Debbie) Tillman, Billy (Pam) Tillman; step-daughter, Lesley (Vaughn) Dalrymple, granddaughters Charlene (Brian) Murphy, Catha (John) Richert, Christy (Ian) Murray, Calene (Kirkland) Tillman, Carly (Liam) Eubank, Cretia (Jesse) Pennington, Tiffany Dalrymple, grandson, Jonathan "Chase" Dalrymple, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, his best friend, Joseph "Bud" Meyers; and a host of extended family and friends.
