With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Johnnie Severance, who left this world on March 24, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on August 18, 1968, in Live Oak, Florida, Mark was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished friend to many.
Mark’s greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jamie; his son, Brandon Severance (Kayla); and his stepchildren, Brittany Senna (James) and Brady McCrosky (Beau). He was a proud grandfather to Colton Severance and Wriston Senna, who brought immense happiness to his life. Mark is also survived by his mother, Janis Haas (John), whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Severance; his paternal grandparents, Hubert and Florence Severance; and his maternal grandparents, Wallace and Lucille Freeman.
Mark’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed. His presence filled every moment with warmth and laughter, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mark’s memory to the American Cancer Society or Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Mark’s love and light will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
