

Born Mary Jean Almand on November 27, 1939, in Royston, Georgia, Jean was the daughter of Isaac M. Almand and Mary E. (Turner) Almand.
A proud graduate of the University of Georgia, Jean earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and was a devoted member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. After college, she began her career as a school teacher. Following the birth of her children, she joyfully embraced her calling as a full-time mother and homemaker.
Jean’s unwavering Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. She taught Sunday school for many years at Calvary United Methodist Church, where her gentle spirit and deep love for the Lord touched countless lives.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, H. Wayne Storey, and her parents.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Williams (Terry) of Orange Park, FL; her son, Brian Storey of Middleburg, FL; her grandchildren, Tanner Williams, Jason Storey, and Adam Jackson; her great-grandson, Dylan Storey (Brittany); and her devoted caregiver and friend, Lori Storey.
A woman of quiet strength, boundless love, and steadfast faith, Jean will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Though absent in body, she is present in spirit through cherished memories, shared traditions, and the enduring love she poured into her family.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068.
