Maureen H. Tango, born June 23, 1956 in Newark, New Jersey, passed away on March 19, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was married to and survived by her husband, John Tango; children Jessica, Stephen, Stephanie , Danielle; stepchildren, Johnny and Chris; grandchildren Nadia, Elysia, Kosiah, Natalie, Iysahn, Matthew, Neil, Marshall, Byran, Daniel, Matthew, Wyiatt, and Lily; and her ex-husband and father to her children, Charles Mabey.
Maureen loved her family, enjoyed reading, and loved her animals. She looked forward every year to go to Daytona Beach or Ormond Beach for her getaway, depending on the year her timeshare would land on. Tanning was her must. She always wanted to have a nice tan. She enjoyed her time in the backyard and tanning on the pool deck by the pool.
Maureen also loved playing crossword puzzles with the grandkids or when she was on the computer playing the game Majuan. She would always spell out words when she was in front of the grandkids so they would not make out what she was talking about.
All of the children that would come over to play with her children would all call her Mommy and she would always call them sweetie. Her children would always listen out when they were playing outside for her to yell out there names when it was time for dinner. If they did not come home, ooh was it a woopin for them.
When it would be daylight savings time, she would always text everyone to remind them to not to forget to set their clocks forward or backwards; everyone knew she would too. She would text everyone and leave an emojis at the end of the text.
When it was anyone’s birthday she would call them personally and sing happy birthday to them.
Her favorite sayings would be "door closed air on", "see you later alligator, after while crocodile, not to soon baboon", or when it would rain outside she would say "I'm melting, I’m melting", and last but not least, "I’m def not blind".
Maureen was so sweet to all the children around the neighborhood and help them if they were in trouble or needed a place to stay. She had a big heart and would make sure all her babies would have clothes on their backs, food on the table and a roof over there heads.
