Ricardo Maldonado, age 67, passed on May 16, 2021 in Middleburg, FL. Ricardo (also known as Richie) was born in Puerto Rico. His parents Jorge and Adalaida Maldonado, who are both deceased, moved to New York City when he was two months old. Along with him traveled two older brothers, Wilfredo and Ruben (also deceased). Richie was the third born child out of seven children. He joined the Military in the 70’s and later retired as an Elevator Inspector for the New York City Housing Authority. Richie fathered four children, Sonia, David, Hector & Melissa, including four stepchildren Cynthia, Carlos, Alithia & Frances. His wife, Maria Sanchez- Maldonado was the love of his life, as many people know, he loved her so much that he married her twice. Richie had a talent for musicality and a passion for playing the piano. His singing poured out the sounds of Salsa and those close to him long to hear his voice again. His contagious laughter & his smile will be missed. Richie was a kind, loving and spiritual man. During his later years, he took the time to study the bible and draw closer to God. He had faith in God’s promises of a better future for mankind. He is survived by his wife Maria, his 8 children, 24 grandchildren, 4 great- grandbabies & 4 siblings Brunilda, Eduardo, Arturo & Diana. We will always love you and miss you.
