

Salvatore Anthony Brocato Sr., 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Jacksonville FL on February 4, 2022. He was born in North Collins, NY, served in the US Navy, and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration.
He loved life and took advantage of his time on earth to its fullest. He volunteered often; at his church, the Gator Bowl parade, the Library, the local voting precinct, as well as other work. He had a variety of talents, but many people enjoy the fruit of his skillful hand in upholstery and woodwork. He enjoyed helping people, fishing and playing pool, working in the yard, and spending time with his friends and family. He was a good friend to many and will be dearly missed.
He was predeceased by his parents: Joseph and Sarah Brocato; wife, Charlotte Brocato; sister, Grace Dobson; and 2 sons: Salvatore Anthony "Tony" Brocato Jr. and Kevin McCorkel.
Survivors include his children: Lori (Bruce) Dugan; Amy Brocato, Nita Brocato, Bart (Marie) Brocato and Kerry (Michael) Buccilli; brother, Joe (Georgia) Brocato; sister, Nina Strasser; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 5401 Dunn Ave, Jacksonville, FL.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL.
