

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Sandra Lee Schaedel, beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Sandra was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on September 2, 1950, to the late Charles Nolan and Mary B. Westberry. After a life filled with love, care, and devotion, Sandra peacefully passed away in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Sandra was a truly caring and nurturing soul, always putting others before herself. As a stay-at-home mother, she dedicated her life to raising her family with unwavering love and support. Her compassion extended beyond her immediate family, touching the hearts of all those fortunate enough to know her. Sandra’s gentle spirit, loving nature, and selfless acts of kindness will never be forgotten by those who were blessed to cross her path.
In her spare time, Sandra found peace and joy in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that she lovingly shared with others. She was also an avid fan of television, particularly enjoying the news and mystery shows. Family was Sandra’s greatest joy, and spending time with her loved ones was always her top priority.
A devout believer in her faith, Sandra was firm in her religious convictions, and her love for the Lord was evident in her everyday life. Her unwavering belief in the power of faith brought her comfort and strength throughout her life.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Westberry, and her brother Fred Westberry. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Schaedel; her brother, John Westberry; her niece, Vickie Nelson; her nephews, Robert Westberry and Johnny Westberry Jr.; and a host of loving friends and family who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the family's home (7835 Morse Avenue, Lot 27, Jacksonville, Florida 32244). We invite all who knew and loved Sandra to join us in honoring her memory and celebrating the life she lived—full of love, compassion, and faith.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for food donations in support of the Celebration of Life at the family's home.
Sandra’s memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
