Vivian Marie Bentley age 91 of Tamarac, Florida passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025. She was born to the late Eddie (Butler) and Luke Nance in Bladen County, North Carolina. Vivian was the last of her eleven siblings to join their parents in heaven. They were raised on the family farm, and she was thankful for what the farm taught her about life. Hard work abled her to be independent and humble. The family was of Pentecostal Faith, and she loved the Lord.
Vivian was a happy and fun person and that is what attracted the late Oscar Bentley to marry her later in life. Vivian and Oscar planted roots in Clay County, Florida and were very active in the Local 5968 VFW Lodge. They would travel together with goody bags to share with other veterans that needed a little encouragement.
Vivian is survived by her loving and devoted children; Sherrie Gentry and husband Kenny Belknap and Mark Irving, grandchildren; Caleb Irving, Sirius Irving and Amber Hulshouser and husband Richard Hulshouser, great grandchildren; Andrea Benavides and husband Conlen Benavides and Jordan Hulshouser and many extended family members. She was the best mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother.
A visitation for Vivian will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
