Wilbur Dalton Smith, passed away Sept. 18, 2011. Born April 7, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pa., he moved to Orange Park in 1973 and was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 yrs. Service to his Country. Following his military career, he retired from the Postal Service. His memberships included the Fleet Reserve and V.F.W. Survivors include his wife of 61 yrs., Helen Szoke Smith; daughter, Janice Marie Dimmock; 2 sons, Chris K. (Gennifer) Smith and Jeffrey Smith; 3 sisters, Phyllis Haag, Peggy Price, Lois Bates; 3 grandchildren, Sarah Haynes, Tyler and Cade Smith; 3 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday (TODAY) at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Orange Park.
