He was predeceased by his loving wife of 73 years, Evelyn Smith and 2 daughters: Carol Short and Shari Rounds. Survived by daughter, Teresa (Robert) Stewart; son-in-law, LeRoy Short; 6 grandchildren: Vicki, Scott, Tara, Simon, Amanda and Michael; 6 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held 5-7 PM on Monday August 22, 2022 and funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Fort White Church of God, 339 SW Bryant Avenue, Fort White, FL. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, McAlpin, FL with military honors.
