A native of Union County, NC, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Linnie Kiker. She retired from First Union National Bank. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Smith. She was loved and will be missed.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her three children, Sue Searfoss and husband, James, of Georgia, Tommy Smith of Mint Hill, and John Smith and wife, Candy, of Davidson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint-Hill Road. The Reverend Hank Parker will officiate.
