

He was born in Washington, D.C. on September 10, 1945 and graduated from Technical High School in Scranton, PA.
Clifford had a career in Law Enforcement for the Marine Corp, The Government Printing Office and Wackenhut. He was a member of the VFW and the Moose Club, and had a passion for the Washington Redskins, any other sport and his grandchildren.
Mr. Walsh was a Marine during the Vietnam War, he was wounded and earned the Distinguished Purple Heart Medal. Cliff then worked as a police officer for the Government Printing Office from which he retired in 1996.
Cliff married Catherine Louise Dove Reed on May 29, 1993.
Cliff “Poppa” was deeply devoted to his late wife Cathy and was devoted to her until he passed away. Poppa loved his grandchildren above all, he lit up when he talked about them and enjoyed living with them until his passing.
Poppa had a contagious laugh and by most accounts lived life to its fullest.
Cliff loved to dance and usually had a line of ladies waiting to dance with him before he lost part of his leg 6 years ago.
He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia and his nephew, Michael.
Mr. Walsh is survived by his stepson, Tony Reed; daughter-in-law, Betty Reed; stepson, Timothy Reed; grandchildren, Brandon Reed, B. Austin Reed, Noah Reed and Emma Sturm; sisters, Kathryn (Steve) Miske of Merrittstown, PA, Jean (David) Lencicki of, Scranton, PA, and Mary (William) Trumbo of Scranton, PA; brother, Michael (Debbie) Walsh of Colora, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 1st of March, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel with visitation held one hour prior to the service.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to any wounded American Soldiers charity or a charity of your choice.
