

She was born on December 16, 1943, in Boone, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack E. Greer and Tina Harmon Greer; her stepmother, Helen Stansberry Greer; paternal grandparents, Cicero and Ollie Eller Greer; and maternal grandparents, Dallas and Margaret Ingram Harmon.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Richard Bare, of Midland, NC; daughters Karen Hartness (Andy), Sharon Chumley, and Dianna Lackey; grandchildren Kaitlyn Dellinger (Devin), Ashton Lackey, Austin Lackey, Travis Chumley, and Preston Chumley; and great-granddaughter Kylie Lackey. She is also survived by two brothers, Dr. Richard M. Greer (Retta) and Chad G. Greer (Susan). Several nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was a graduate of Appalachian High School and Kings Business College and also attended Appalachian State Teachers College. A legal secretary, Elizabeth retired from Wells Fargo after a long career working for real estate law firms and banking firms. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Elizabeth will be remembered by family and friends as a person with a heart of gold and as one who was totally devoted to her family. She also had a stubborn strength that served her well throughout the years.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 20th, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC, with burial in the City Cemetery in Boone, NC, on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
