

James Hilton White, of Charlotte, North Carolina, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, May 12, 2016. He was born to Lorenzio Dow and Hazel Jewell White on April 5, 1931, in Washington, North Carolina.
Jim served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He received four commendations, including the Air Force Commendation Medal for Outstanding Service and retired in August of 1974. Jim worked as a project manager for the Charlotte Housing Authority from 1975-1983. Afterwards, he joined the real estate firm of Merrill Lynch Realty, becoming a member of the Merrill Lynch Realty Multi-Million Dollar Club. He also worked with his wife, Ann for Employee Profile Services. Jim was a charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Charlotte and helped to secure the property where the church now stands. He served as a Deacon, Chairman of Deacons, as well as serving on many committees over the years. He was blessed to have three wonderful marriages in his life. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pauline Hodges, his first wife, Joan Mulvaney, and his second wife, Ann Aycoth.
He is survived by his wife, June Alexander White; daughters, Leslie White, Debbie Smith and husband, Charlie, Donna Forbis and husband, Mike, Cyndi Pack and husband Randy, and Pam Dail and husband, Currie; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with his funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
