Janice Haire McEwen

Her sense of humor was contagious as was her passion for life. Janice never met a stranger and will greatly be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband J. Dowd McEwen Jr. of Mint Hill NC; son Michael Ross (Mary) of Charleston SC; daughter Donna Byrd (Tracy) of Chester VA; sister Sharon Finch of Weddington NC; grandchildren, Sarah and Hannah Byrd of Chester VA.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 2-3pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd, Mint Hill NC 28273. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 3pm in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Philadelphia Sunday School Class of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Mint Hill or to the International Mission Board, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering P.O. Box 6767 Richmond VA, 23230-0767.
