Mae Untz Jordan

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 20, 2012, at Hickory Grove Methodist Church with Pastor Arnie Corriher officiating. Interment will be private in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will receive family and friends Monday morning from 9:45 to 11:00 in the church parlor before the service. Active pallbearers are Christopher Cruse, Jon Cruse, Pete Scercy, Jack Glunt, Terry Dodd and Reese Untz.

Born July 13, 1923 in Mecklenburg County, NC, Mrs. Jordan was the daughter of the late Fred Reece Untz and Elizabeth Oehler Untz. She was a lifelong member of Hickory Grove Methodist Church. Her family and faith were the focus of her life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death in 1992 by her husband, John D. Jordan.

She is survived by her son, John Dale Jordan of Concord; four grandchildren, Candy Fowler and her husband, Daniel, of Charlotte, Mark Jordan and his wife, Stephanie, of Cornelius, Christopher Cruse and his wife, Casey, of Concord, and Jon Cruse of Concord; and four great-grandchildren, Farrah Jordan, Ava Jordan, Jordan Fowler, and Madelynn Fowler.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, caregivers, Angie and Crystal, and the Glunt family for all the love and care they gave Mrs. Jordan. The family also extends their appreciation to Dr. Catherine Walker and her staff for the extended care given to her.
