I met Ken years ago when I worked with his wife Wanda. Wanda and I became very close and Ken and Wanda filled in as family to me..my children and husband. Ken loved my daughter and played with her when she had overnight visits with him and Wanda. My daughter misses him and has great memories of the many conversations and play dates she had with Ken and Wanda. He always had a smile on his face  when my husband  and I visited and always spoke about his many bike rides that he had accomplished. His true love for Wanda showed at all times.  He was an amazing guy that we wished we had known longer. He will never be forgotten! We will always remember him. 

I knew Ken from the gym where we both trained. While we were far apart in years, we were close in interests. Every time I saw him we had an enjoyable conversation. I ran many running races with Ken and always looked forward to seeing him.  While "rest in peace" may be appropriate for some, Ken would probably be at peace churning out a 10-miler. We've lost a wonderful person here. I'll remember him fondly.

I will miss our lengthy conversations,  our love of a great deal (coupons), and basketball. I will miss your texts alerting me to a great deal and our excitement about the Final Four.  But mostly I will miss your smile, laughter and kindness.  It was a gift to know you, and I, as well as everyone you know, are better for it.  Our love for you goes with you. Thank you Wanda for sharing him with us.

I miss my friend, Richard Kenneth Kinkade, we found out early we shared first and middle names - I go by Rick and he by Ken. We met as gym buddies sharing our personal trainer, Will Hayes but Ken quickly shared the moniker Dr. Pain for Will. Ken always made gym time “Great” which became my canned answer when asked how I was doing, mainly to hear Ken chuckle when I yelled out in a tortured voice. Ken and I played golf together a few times and a writer once said, it is hard to dislike someone you have played golf with. I miss my friend.

I met Ken several years ago at the gym as he typically came in as I was finishing my Saturday morning workouts with Will Hayes. I always enjoyed chatting with Ken. When I started bringing my twin boys he was always interested to hear the latest news about Karate, Tennis, Swimming, and Cross Country. He always had a kind word of encouragement for my entire family and we will certainly miss seeing him each week. 

Russ and I used to work out at the gym regularly with Ken and always followed his race results and enjoyed hearing about his homeopathic remedies for various ailments. My favorite subject was discussing his “couponing”. He was the master and he had his notebook organized to coincide with the grocery store aisles. It fascinated me how much he could save and how much he enjoyed working his system. Heaven just got a wonderful new angel! 

I met Ken when I worked at Bodywise Personal Training. I remember he was just a super nice guy.  He liked to run and was always smiling. I was very sad to hear of his passing. Sending peace and prayers to his family. 

Ken was an amazing guy! He could strike up a conversation with anyone, especially about sports.  He was an avid runner and loved in the running community.  
He will be greatly missed and my heart and preyers go out to the family.  

Kenny was a great guy!  I, Deb, worked with him for several years in Pontiac, and we both grew up with and knew many family members well.   Our sympathy to all the family!  We wish  you all comfort and peace.  God bless!

I attended Flanagan High School with Ken also. He was a really nice guy. We rode the same bus for better than 2 years . I have a lot of pleasant memories.  Glad to read about his life I had heard of him living in NC.  Sorry to hear of his passing. I am sure  he leaves a lot of pleasant memories.

I met Ken while working with his wife Wanda in Rock Hill S.C. and they were both the most beautiful, heartwarming people with everyone they met. I had forgotten that Ken was from Central Illinois until I saw his obituary. Right away it brought back a flood of emotion and I just want to let Wanda know that I will be keeping them in my thoughts and prayers.  

So sorry to hear about Kenny’s death. I remember him from Flanagan High School Class of ‘65 as a quiet kid. Thanks for sharing about his life.

I played basketball with Ken at Flanagan High School in 1963-1965.   He was a good guy then, and I am certain for the rest of his life.  RIP.  Gary Yordy

I am so sorry to hear your loss of Kenny. He was a great man & was the 1st person I met in the family. My girls may not have seen him very often but always loved him when they did.  My heart goes out to you all. He will be greatly missed, especially his smile. May Family & Friends comfort you at this difficult time.
