He was born September 19, 1914 in Liverpool, PA. He was the son of Frederick Rowe Murray and Jennie W. Murray.
Mr. Murray worked as a floor mechanic. After retiring, he worked at Walmart as a greeter until he was 95.
He was in WWII in 1944-1946. He was stationed in the Philippines.
Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth W. Murray and second wife, Joyce Bliss Murray.
Surviving Mr. Murray are his daughter, Carolyn M. Barton and son-in-law, Gary Barton; granddaughter, Lisa Crowell; grandson, Robbie Barton; two great granddaughters, Tiffani and Candace Crowell; sister, Dottie Livingston and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two stepsons, Perry and Richard Bliss.
A committal service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the chapel at Sunset Memory Gardens.
