

Wayne graduated from Garinger High School in 1966. He played in multiple bands during and after high school. He also served his country in the U.S. Army from January 22, 1968, until his honorable discharge on January 21, 1971. Wayne spent most of his career in parts and service management, most of that with Beck Imports.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Clayton Wheeler; mother, Peggy Wheeler; brother, David Wheeler; and grandson, Tad Daugherty.
He leaves behind his wife and sweetheart of 41 years, Donna Wheeler; daughter, Donna Williams and husband, Clay; son, Don Daugherty and wife, Angela; granddaughters, Amber and Tiffany; sisters, Patsy Anderson and husband, Don, and Peggy Chadwick and husband, Homer; brother, Clayton Wheeler, Jr. and wife, Ginger; nieces, Deeanne, Sarah and Abby; and nephews, Donnie, David and Dustin.
Visitation will be held from six until eight o'clock in the evening on Thursday, the 12th of March, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Rodney Quesenberry, will be held at one o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 13th of March, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
