Allan Jay Hoffman

Allan Jay Hoffman, beloved husband of Susan (nee Walker), passed away quietly at home in Woodland Hills, California, after a long battle with cancer. He was the brother of Cynthia Hoffman Bolanowski, half-brother of Deborah Hoffman, brother-in-law to Bonnie Russ (Edward) and Edward Walker (Amy). Allan was uncle to Jill (Aaron) Yuhasz, Kim (Ryan) Bolanowski-Fader, Maurisa (Tony) Pasick, David Halicky and Tara Halicky, Edward Russ (Susie), Christopher Russ, and EJ Walker (Heather). He was great uncle to Aaden, Ashton and Austin Yuhasz, Addyson Bolanowski, Noah Pasick, Edward Russ III, Erin and Jessica Russ, and Keegan Walker.

Allan served aboard the U.S.S. Essex during his time in the Navy and went on to earn a degree in applied physics engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago Circle.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of LASHA and the West Los Angeles Veterans Home. He was Senior Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA – State of California and Judge Advocate of Post 603 Jewish War Veterans of the USA.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Allan's life will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015, 2:00pm at Groman Eden Mortuary, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345.
