May 30, 1933 – August 23, 2024
Bunny was born in the Bronx of New York where she lived until her parents made the trip to California and settled in West LA when she was nine. She attended Hamilton High School and went on to attend UCLA where she met Ted Lansing, whom she married in 1955 and had her first child Jill Ellen. Bunny and Ted made their first home in Canoga Park where she had her second child, Susan Elaine. In 1964 they moved to a home in Woodland Hills which would be her forever home for 60 years until her passing.
In 1973, a recently divorced Bunny, would meet Bob Bloch whom she married shortly thereafter and spent 38 years sharing a full life before his passing in 2012. Bunny’s marriage was filled with lots of laughter, friends, travels around the world, large family gatherings in Maui and Bend, Hollywood Bowl concerts, Dodger games, and long weekend trips with close friends, the Wasserman’s or the Bristol’s . Bunny and Bob also enjoyed sharing a condo on the Ventura boardwalk with the Shuster’s where they spent many enjoyable weekends. She and Bob also shared a love of tennis and bowling leagues.
Since Bob’s passing, Bunny lived an independent life, volunteering at the Motion Picture Hospital (for 30 years), playing Maj Jong with her “girls” and of course enjoying time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren all of whom she loved to spoil.
For the last several years, Bunny was blessed to have wonderful caregivers (Gigi, Joy & Karen) to take care of her. They provided daily care and wonderful companionship. A true blessing.
Bunny is preceded in death by Bob Bloch and daughter Sue Lansing.
She is survived by her daughter Jill Van Zeebroeck, grandson Nic Van Zeebroeck (Andrea), granddaughter Amanda Stangeland (Chad), and grandson Dallas Hammons (Caitlyn Mott).
She also leaves great grandchildren Cody Stangeland, Sammy Sue Stangeland, Maverick Stangeland, and Isaac Van Zeebroeck.
May she rest in peace.
Memorial Services will be held at Groman-Eden Chapel 11500 Sepulveda Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 91345 on August 29th at 2pm with graveside service immediately following.
