Edwin Tolmas, 86, of Northridge CA passed away on December 12, 2023. “Eddie” was born on May 26, 1937, to Faye and Donald Tolmas in Milwaukee Wisconsin. After Ed graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1955, he went on to study Political Science at UCLA and then studied law at Hastings and Southwestern, where he acquired his Juris Doctor and dedicated an impressive 62 years to the practice of criminal law. A loyal defender of justice, Ed leaves behind a legacy marked by unwavering commitment of due process and compassionate approach to even the most challenging cases that shaped the legal landscape of Los Angeles.
Edwin is survived by his spouse, Young Hofstra; children Robin, Jodi, Donna, Carmen, and Alysia; grandchildren Matthew, Melissa, Spencer, Liam, Brandon, Jaden, Chloe, and Charlotte.
